ICIJ review finds nearly $1.7 billion in pharma fines failed to deter alleged misconduct
According to an ICIJ investigation, enforcement actions against cancer drug manufacturers across 31 countries over 15 years resulted in nearly $1.7 billion in combined settlements and fines between 2010-2025, yet these penalties represent only one-third of 1% of the firms' revenues.
