About Financial Crime Matters
Financial Crime Matters is a daily news aggregator for the world of financial crime — money laundering, fraud, bribery and corruption, sanctions, market abuse, tax evasion, terrorist financing and trafficking. It draws on reputable general, regional and specialist publications, and on regulators and courts, across multiple languages.
Each day it scans those sources for the latest reporting, translates non-English coverage into English, and organises it by region and by crime type. Every story links out to the original publisher — Financial Crime Matters aggregates and points to the source, it does not republish the articles.
How allegations are handled
Coverage is shown as reported. Many stories concern investigations, charges or allegations that are unproven; named individuals and organisations may be the subject of allegations they deny, or that are later withdrawn or dismissed. Legal status is preserved exactly as the original source states it — alleged, charged, indicted, convicted — and is never strengthened. Where the most detailed report sits behind a paywall, we prioritise the free primary source, such as a regulator or court announcement, wherever one exists.
Coverage
The site spans global wires and enforcement, Europe and Switzerland, the Gulf and wider MENA, the Americas, Africa and Asia, alongside financial-crime investigative specialists — updated daily.
